Chad B.

Hi. My name is Chad. The first book (book that got me into reading) that I read was Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. To this day, Rick Riordan is still my favorite author. I read that in the end of third grade after having the entire series spoiled by my best friend. But, my favorite books of all time is Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Being a self-proclaimed nerd and geek, I loved all the movie, video game, TV, books, music, and just general 80s and nerdy stuff in the book. Some other things: My favorite TV show is Doctor Who. My favorite Doctor is 9th, with 11th being my second.  My favorite movie is The Matrix. My favorite book to movie adaptation is Jurassic Park. My favorite band is Queen. My two favorite characters in a book are Isabelle Lightwood and Piper McLean (I bet you can guess why.) So, that’s a blurb about me.

Bonus information: I want to got to Yale to be a theoretical physicist, I skipped 8th grade, I went to St. Luke’s Lutheran for pre-k through 7th grade, and I also like to read comics.

Natalia B.

Hello, I’m Natalia. To start off I must say I love books and think of them as just a wonderful thing and sometimes dreadful as well. Some genres I read usually are: fantasy, crime, action, sci-fi, basically YA. But I have some trouble reading books about everyday teens ( A.K.A Teen Reality). I play piano and violin. I love to listen to music, draw, and watch TV (especially when The Walking Dead is on). Sadly, I didn't actually start to enjoy books until I hit sixth grade. That's when I decided I would join book club (due to free food). As I began reading our book- which was Maze Runner, by James Dashner- I was sucked into a world of my own imagination. It was like a film began to play within my head. I was the creator and got to imagine the way a character would look, speak, and interact with others. I finished the book in one sitting -which to me was a big deal because it would take me forever to finish. Though, moving along I've now built up a large amount of favorite books since sixth grade (not to mention my TBR getting bigger every time an author decides to write a new book). But, my favorite book at this point is definitely This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab. I also like to take my knowledge of books and one day have a chance to publish my own work.  If you like, you may follow me on Goodreads as well.

Carina G.
Maryum M.

Hey, my name is Carina. I’d like to say that my favorite book is Night Circus with its eloquent descriptions of its own world and its many beauties. Maybe even The Host and its philosophical questions of the barriers that exist in friendships and love. Or, how about Prisoner B-3087 with its intense and honest descriptions of true pain and suffering. I’d like to say that I'm fighting over those 3, but I can’t. I give credit to a well-known book that almost every teen has read in their life; Divergent. I say this because believe it or not this was the book that started it all for me. I was in the sixth grade reading a young adult book (because an 11 year is totally a young adult). At the time I hated books, I despised school readings, or just anything that required thought or effort. Yet, there I was hooked by this book. The idea of factions really made me think, “What faction would I be in?” “Would I add any other factions?” and I just imagined what brought the people of their universe to start such a change in their entire lifestyle and politics. The logistics of it made me think so much I had to keep reading. So that's what I did, and that’s what I’ve been doing ever since-reading. Some genres/types of books I thoroughly enjoy are philosophical, YA, graphic novels, science fiction, fantasy, anything fiction, and some non-fiction, since I enjoy learning on my own.

Hello my fellow readers, I’m Maryum. If you hadn't already guessed I love books. The first Young Adult novel that I read that got me into YA was The Hunger Games. I remember my student teacher had recommended this book to me in fifth grade and the movie was about to come out. I was always into books from the beginning and they are my escape from reality and school. It's really hard to choose my favorite book, so my favorite author is Sarah J. Maas because she's queen. If you haven't read any of her books you should check it out. I like to read physical books but that's sometimes hard to take with you everywhere so then I read on my Kindle or phone. While reading I love to eat. I usually eat cookies or cake or something sweet. Other than reading I like to watch t.v. shows when I have free time which is very rare because of school.  I watch Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, which are both sadly ending, The Originals and many other shows. My dream is to meet all my favorite authors and perhaps co-write with them and travel the world. I can be found on Wattpad, Epicreads, rivetedlit, and Goodreads as Too_Many_books.

Mason S.

Hi. My name is Mason. Here’s the jist about me I LOVE Books. And I hope you do too! Everyone always asks that one question every book lover always has trouble answering “What is your favorite book?” Well, to be completely honest with you that’s just too darn hard to answer. There are so many books out there. If I was forced to decide a favorite book I would go with a book series. Yes, a series. I know many book series get ruined with at least one book but I have to say and this is my opinion, The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is seriously, by far, my favorite. Oh, wait. I can’t forget about The Kanin Chronicles by Amanda Hocking. See what I mean? There are just too many books out there that it’s nearly impossible to pick a specific book or even a series. Alright, I could go on all day about books but shifting to a different topic here is a little about me: First off, I’m a girl (yes my name is Mason but there is a whole history behind it but I'm not going into that today), I enjoy cooking and baking. I'm interested in French music. Some singers I listen to are “Louane” and “Stromae.”I play cricket. (Yes, it's a sport). I know some sign language, and photography is now a new passion. To top it all off, here is one of my favorite quotes “I divide all readers into two classes; those who read to remember and those who read to forget.” –William Lyon Phelps. Here is my Goodreads account. If you want, friend me. https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/53111145-mason
